Chef Carl Dooley runs a seafood-anchored tasting menu on the upper floor of this Back Bay address, drawing technique and seasoning from the Mediterranean, Asia and beyond rather than committing to a single cuisine; the ground floor holds Moon Bar, a more casual à la carte counterpart from the same team. Arched windows face Columbus Avenue in the dining room, where the menu turns over often — past courses have included Spanish mackerel crudo with a huacatay salsa verde and glazed local cod with mango pickle, citrus and crumbled papadam. Mooncusser opened in 2017, shares ownership with 80 Thoreau in Concord, and pairs its list with a moderately priced wine flight; the Michelin Guide lists it as a selected restaurant.
