About

Set in a 1916 property on the Mendocino Coast, the Harbor House Inn reopened in 2018 with Matthew Kammerer as chef, serving a daily changing tasting menu in a twenty-seat dining room above the Pacific. Cooking relies on fire, steam and smoke, with produce from the 320-acre Harbor House Ranch near Point Arena, seafood gathered from the adjacent coastline and tidepools, and livestock from Mendocino County farms. The kitchen holds two Michelin stars (2021–2025) and a Michelin Green Star awarded in 2020; menus have included purple sea urchin, served in reference to its effect on the region's kelp beds.
